Českou voltiž odjely reprezentovat dohromady 2 skupiny – seniorská z TJ voltiž Tlumačov a juniorská z JK Hřebčín Albertovec a 8 jednotlivců (kat. senior – Jana Sklenaříková z TJJ Lucky Drásov, Dana Truchlyová z PZOO Chomutov, Kateřina Králová a Petr Eim z TJ voltiž Tlumačov a Lukáš Klouda z TJJ Lucky Drásov. V kat juniorů ty byly Veronika Krátká z JK D Chevaux, Jana Bartoňková z TJJ Lucky Drásov a Kateřina Dušková z PZOO Chomutov).
Na Mistrovství jsme odjížděli plni očekávání už proto, že to byla česká premiéra. I přesto byly závody organizačně skvěle zvládnuté a celou soutěž provázela úžasně přátelská atmosféra. V tomto duchu se nesli i pondělní a úterní tréninky. První obavy přicházely až s počátkem veterinární prohlídky. Ty se naplnily pro českého koně Duka, který touto prohlídkou neprošel. Lukáš Klouda proto musel startovat na německém koni Merkur. Poté bylo celé mistrovství otevřeno uvítacím ceremoniálem a představením s názvem „Sólo pro koně“. Tímto mohl boj o nejcennější kovy začít.
